Our Outdoor Areas
Nature Garden:
Our Nature Garden is the perfect space for fully immersing children in nature and sparking their curiosity as they learn all about the natural world. The forested area provides shade throughout the Summer and shelter throughout the Winter as our children learn to take appropriate risks as they climb the trees, search for bugs, play hide and seek and use the natural resources around them to create their own masterpieces.
Forest School Sessions
Our weekly Forest School sessions provide children with rich, hands-on learning experiences in the natural environment. Making use of the nature garden and surrounding field, these sessions encourage creativity, exploration and the development of practical and social skills through child-led and structured outdoor activities. This can include nature walks, outdoor art, den building, using tools, clay sculpting and slacklining.
Forest School promotes holistic development by nurturing independence, self-esteem and respect for the world around us. Through regular engagement with the outdoor environment, children gain a deeper understanding of nature and the world around us.

Our Outdoor Areas

Playground
Our playground boasts large climbing equipment as well as a host of bikes and scooters, providing plenty of opportunities for the children to develop their gross motor skills. With a large shaded area the children can also take all their favourite activities outside from tuff trays to creative resources to a favourite book. The Playground is also home to our allotment area.

Allotment
Within our playground we have created an allotment area. This area not only sparks the children's interest in the natural world as they learn about the lives of plants and insects whilst they grow their own fruits, vegetables and flowers from seed but encourages them to show care and commitment as they tend to them. Harvesting their crops and helping our cook to then turn these into delicious meals and treats helps children to understand the complete process, taking pride in what they have achieved as they tuck into courgette cake or eat their home grown lettuce as part of their tea.
Through the hard work and dedication of our amazing children and wonderful staff, the nursery has achieved the Level 5 RHS Gardening Award.

Field
Our children have access to the large playing field where they often spend time playing football, running races, yoga outdoors, going on listening walks and making up their own stories. The younger children often enjoy spending time out on the field, cloud watching, taking musical instruments moving to music and exploring.
