Extra Curricular Activities

At Kings Burrow Nursery, we love to think of new and exciting activities and opportunities for the children.

Didi dance visits us every Tuesday, encouraging our Bunnies and Hares to discover a love of movement and music and have fun all whilst practising their physical and listening skills.

Debutots visit us every other Thursday, providing a fun, interactive story telling and drama experience which helps to build on children's confidence, communication and language skills all whilst promoting a love of storytelling and building on their imaginations.

We also have a yearly visit from Zoolab who bring an exciting collection of animals to the nursery, giving the children the opportunity to interact with them as they tell their latest story.

Reviews

Don't just take our word for it, this is what parents have said about Kings Burrow:

“Kings Burrow Nursery has been fantastic for my child. Every morning, they're excited to go in, and every evening, they come home full of stories. The staff are warm, engaged, and genuinely care. Management is hands-on and often in the rooms, so it looks to be a real team effort.

The facilities are great, with plenty to keep children engaged, and there's a strong focus on outdoor learning. There's also a lovely sense of community, where we often see staff at birthday parties and other events with their own children, which makes the nursery feel even more welcoming.

Communication is excellent, with clear handovers and regular updates through the app, which is really reassuring. Kings Burrow Nursery is a nurturing, supportive place where children seem to thrive, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a warm and well-run setting.”

“Absolutely fabulous nursery. I feel like I'm dropping my child off to a safe, secure family rather than a nursery! The staff are enthusiastic and encouraging. The setting is fun with plenty of outdoor space - including a forest garden, playground and even use of the school fields at times. Themed weeks keep the children entertained. Great meals with a seasonal changing menu. My child has thrived and grown in every way since joining King's Burrow thanks to their wonderful staff and the opportunities they offer.”

“The Kings Burrow team are simply brilliant, and our son looks forward to everyday with his friends in their supportive, educational and joyful environment. The staff are dedicated, caring, and professional. The facilities and experiences they create are second to none. They have created such a strong and happy culture for our little ones, and it shows. 10/10 would recommend.”

“My daughter has attended Kings Burrow nursery 4 or 5 days a week for 7 months now, and is now 20 months old. I am very happy with the nursery and always feel like she is being very well cared for there. All of the staff seem to genuinely care for the children there, and ensure that there are such a good variation of tasks/play opportunities (inside and outside, and also little trips away from the nursery) so that the children are kept happy, occupied, and learning well. Our busy and excitable daughter is happy and well socialised and gets to do lots of fun messy play. The nursery also look after her dietary needs/allergies well and she eats much more varied food there than she does at home. We would recommend this nursery as a safe, caring, and nurturing environment.”

“My son attended a different setting first, where my concerns regarding his speech weren't taken seriously.

He is attending Kings Burrows for over a year now and he's absolutely thriving!

He loves all of the staff and I know he's in the best hands when I'm not there.

At home he is a really fussy eater but he enjoys the nursery meals very much.

One of the highlights of the nursery are certainly the outdoor areas and the "nature garden".”

“Kings Burrow Nursery has such a happy community. All of the practitioners are kind, considerate and welcoming.

My daughter has been well looked after from a baby to now a toddler. They embrace everything about her and spend quality time getting to know her understanding her likes and dislikes, challenging her but also showing her compassion and teaching her new things!

We're very grateful as a family for all Kings Burrow have done and continue to do for our daughter encouraging her to be independent, courageous and herself!”

“Both of my sons (4 & 1) go to Kings Burrow, and I have nothing but nice things to say about the nursery.

A friendly and welcoming atmosphere, excellent communications and the staff are always keen to share how the boys are getting on.

The facilities are good and well presented, with plenty of outdoor space and activities.

I would certainly credit the Kings Burrow team with helping my children learn and develop into (here I maybe a bit bias) fantastic little humans.”
